Noch drei Tage bis zur Abfahrt, heute muss erstmal das Equipment incl. ROV und Winch an Board. Draußen ist es sehr heiß, kaum ein Lüftchen weht. Der mobile Kran hievt gekonnt die Winch mit dem gelben Versorgungskabel sowie das ROV an Deck. Die Kisten mit dem Equipment folgen. Der Steuerstand wird im Survey Room des Schiffes eingerichtet, Leitungen werden verlegt, letzte Arbeiten am Schiff werden ausgeführt, u.a. ein neuer Kran installiert. Das Tauch- und Laborequipment wird sortiert und in den Laborcontainer geräumt, in dem leider die Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert. Immer noch erschöpft wg. Jet-Lag, aber alles geht gut voran.

Only three more days until departure. Today the equipment needes to get on board, incl. the ROV and the winch. It's hot outside, hardly any wind. The mobile crane skillfully lifts the winch with the yellow umbilical and the ROV on deck. The crates with the equipment follow. The controls stand is innstalled in the ship's survey room, all necessary wiring is put in place, and last minute maintenace on the ship is being carried out, including the installation of a new crane on deck. The dive- and lab-equipment is being sorted and stored in the container that will be our lab for the next few weeks, where unfortunately the airconditioning is not working yet. We all are still exhausted due to the jet-lag, but everything is proceeding well.
